Questions about the tools
Are these tools free?

Yes. Every tool is free, needs no account and runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere unless you choose to download a PDF report.

Do the calculators use 2027 rates?

The income tax, salary vs dividend, incorporation and employee cost calculators let you switch between 2026 and 2027. 2027 EI and the CPP rate cut are official; brackets and the YMPE are projected until the CRA publishes them in mid-November 2026, and we update the same day.

How accurate are the results?

They are close estimates using published federal and Ontario rates, and each tool explains its working. They leave out personal credits and elections that depend on your situation, so check with a CPA before acting.

Who built these tools?

Bloemet, a cloud-based fractional CFO and controller practice with offices in Kitchener and Oakville, Ontario. Rates come from the CRA, the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, Ontario and enacted legislation, and the 2027 reference page lists the status and source of each one.

Estimates use 2026 and 2027 federal and Ontario rates for individuals and Canadian-controlled private corporations. 2027 figures marked projected are our calculation until the CRA publishes them, and are for illustration only. They leave out many personal credits, deductions and elections. Talk to a CPA before acting on compensation, incorporation or tax decisions.
